How Does it Work?
Diino works by installing a small file (about 2MB) on your PC which gives you access to something like a My Documents folder, but stored on Diino's server - however, the best part is instead of installing it on a PC (which may not be allowed on a public machine) you can use it off a USB stick, so it's truly flexible. Now you're set up you can work on documents from anywhere without having to download them to a PC first, give friends and colleagues access to certain files by clicking to email them a password and even stream music and video, either for your listening pleasure or anyone you want to share it with. You organise files and folders by 'drag and drop' so it's very easy to get used to. The basic Diino service is free, giving you up to 20MB, so plenty for working on documents and storing a few photos, and they have monthly and yearly plans starting from $5 a month (about £22.75).
Safe and Secure
Information is carried through what Diino describe as a "secure tunnel with 2048-bit encryption to our data centers" - they also back it all up regularly as you'd expect, and provide you with an email address - username@diino.com - that benefits from the same high protection. The email service also features spam and virus blocking and gives total privacy for communication between Diino users.
